It is a breakthrogh in each other’s history and in the interest of people, because Muhoozi Kainerugaba truly cares about the security and peace of Ugandan public.

The General Muhoozi Kainerugaba received an invitation from the military department of the Republic of South Korea. The visit was official and took place in November 2016 at the headquarters in Incheon, outside Seoul, South Korea. When the DRC Commander of the Special Warfare of the Army, Lieutenant Chang Kyeong Seok and Muzoohi discussed important issues such as military cooperation.

The military union between the two countries seems to be a great event according to Muhoozi Kainerugaba and an excellent opportunity for the nations to strengthen both Armies to fight enemy forces like terrorism and other grave threats.

The visit included a tour around the ROK Special War Training School by the Commander of the Institution, Brigadier General Kim Yong Duk, where various training conduits such as Sniper skills, Air Operations, Swimming and Tae-Kwon-Do are taught to new recruits.

During the recent successful visit and presentation, the General said he was impressed by the capacity of the soldiers and how they are trained. An excellent example that amazed Kainerugaba in all manners. Also, he stated that the structure and organisation are similar to those applied in the Uganda Army.

Despite the geographical separation, the two countries have much more in common than expected. It is a positive and meaningful sentiment that Muhoozi Kainerugaba took into consideration in this visit. He further engaged and vowed to increase the military co-operation between South Korea and Uganda.

An agreement made earlier when the South Korean President was received by President Yoweri Museveni in May 2016. The accordance was based on the possibility to exchange technology and to advance in the field of Agriculture, Defence, and National Security.

Some contents of the agreement included ICT, Infrastructure Development, Science and Technology, among others. The Chief of Defence Force in Uganda, General Katumba Wamala, has been an important link between the relationship of the two nations. He also paid a visit to South Korea and attended ceremonies in commemoration of the South Korean Army Day in October.

Kainerugaba felt very proud to continue the bonds and engagements with S.Korea in a prosperous manner paving way for the future.

A Quick Look at Muhoozi’s Professional Career Experience

For a while, the Armed Forces in Uganda have become important actors to the political scene. With staggering improvements to the nation’s security and stabilisation, they have retained this privilege of power that is becoming even more diffused and complex.

The appointment of officers from the military corps to the Board of Directors of top companies and high-end political places has had as a major impact on the Ugandan society. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who started the brilliant career at a very young age has reached immaculate heights in just over 13 years. He has surpassed all expectations with pure dedication and compromises he made due to the causes he believes in for the people of his country.

According to Kainerugaba, he started military training in 1999, but officially enlisted in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) in the year 1999. Later in his life, he was assigned to the Presidential Protection Unit as a Second Lieutenant in 2000 & soon after, being elevated to the rank of Major in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) in 2001.

A good soldier must receive specific training on ethics, discipline, law and combat– elements that portrays Muhoozi and led him to play an important role as a military man in the society by a relentless effort of defence and protection.

It were these efforts that propelled the Major to a Brigade Commander position in the Presidential Guard Brigade, and subsequently, in 2008 to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; in-charge of the Special Forces Unit in the Uganda People's Defence Force.

Besides military loyalty to the nation, ethics are an essential condition that constitute a strong military institution that values meritocracy, teaches soldiers the value of responsibility for their actions.

These are some of the reasons behind the promotion of Muhoozi that brought him to the rank of a Major General, awarded by his father & the current President of Uganda and later, on 10th January 2017 as the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations.

Muhoozi has proved his qualifications in all possible manners. His ethical principles are an essential pillar to the success of the missions carried out, which moulded and vigorated the military institutional culture and his brilliant career with long years of proper training, discipline and courage.

His only purpose is to defend the interests of society above his own, like a faithful guardian. The sacrifice and the sense of duty to protect, serve and provide for the motherland is the motivation of his eternal calling.

Uganda was built on the debris and destruction caused by the Colonial forces. After struggling for centuries, the nation prevents and continues to fight by having on their sides the most capacitated inspiring people like the general Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

As long as there are loyal fighters like Muhoozi, there is hope for a better future and it will remain standing for many years to come.

Important Factors Behind Muhoozi Kainerugaba Project

 A look at Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Project that attracted the State media attention.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba grew rapidly in 13 years of military career in Uganda among promotions from Brigadier to Major-General of the Special Operations Unit Armed Forces.

"Muhoozi will play an important role in post-Museveni Uganda, there's no question about that," political commentator and activist Nicholas Opiyo told Reuters. "They intend to provide the son the experience of how a government operates in the world of politics," he added.
Muhoozi Kainerugaba, 42, since 2008, serves as a Special Guard, responsible for the personal safety of the President. Museveni is in power for the longest time than any other African president in history.

However, at the beginning of the year 2012, during an interview to the State Press, Muhoozi Kainerugaba said that the allegations against him being prepared for the possible substitution as a President are deliberate and inconsistent and utterly false.

Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba described as "non-existent" a succession plan hitherto known as the "Muhoozi Project."

Former Intelligence Services coordinator Gen David Sejusa reported on the project in 2013 with a strong documentational basis. In this dossier, Sejusa hinted at an intractable plan for Muhoozi, the Commander of the Special Forces Unit, to replace his father as the President and for anybody standing in the way to risk being murdered.

These allegations have no foundation according to the Government spokesman Ofwono Opondo who constantly denies the so-called “project” to make Muhoozi the next president.

Moreover, Sejusa held a high postion in the government and was an MP representing the Army in the Parliament. According to Opondo, the former MP has never shown any particular interest in the gorvernment and now, all of a sudden, he has fled to the UK in 2013. Also, Opondo defends saying that Sejusa can return to the country anytime and no threats or actions to arrest him is true.

"He's a free man to return, if he's not a coward," However, the government would "deal" with Gen. Sejusa if it resorted to unconstitutional means to oppose the government," the opposition claimed.

In the plating dossier of Sejusa, it suggested the people who opposed the "Muhoozi Project" were Gen Aronda Nyakairima (RIP), former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi including the Inspector General (IGP) General Edward Kalekezi Kayihura, also known as The Kale Kayihura and the Ugandan lawyer, military officer and policemen, among others.

Muhoozi was addressing journalists at the Ministry of Defence's headquarters in Mbuya, Kampala and stated that he was happy in the army and has no ambitions to take over the presidency.

"I am very happy in the military, and if I want to participate in politics, I know the procedures to be followed," the General said and proves one more time his worth before his own efforts and dedication to his country.

Museveni came to power in 1986, emerging as the winner of a five-year guerrilla war since then, he has been flighting for the people untiringly. The man emerged as an important political figure in the military history of Uganda and shape their future.

Facts Behind Muhoozi Kainerugaba Success

Muhoozi Kainerugaba is a veteran soldier and he has been proving his abilities for about 13 years now; his genuine willpower to keep fighting for as long as it takes. His military history started in 1994 after he graduated at the well-regarded residential middle school; St. Mary’s College Kisubi, which is situated close to Kampala and Entebbe.

The only advantage Kainerugaba got from the fact that he is the only son of the president, was to improve his knowledge and devote many years of his life and beliefs to serve his country. He got good education and courses along the way for one purpose that is considered his priority which is Uganda. 

Many critics arose around his promotion, but that’s because critique is part of political world and society, but, not to the majority who really understand the essence of fighting for something, and the honesty that drives this passion. The greatest leaders in the history have proven that. Critique is easy, but to do something significant is what proves and shows who you really are.

The facts behind Muhoozi Kainerugaba success is no different, he earned every position by demonstrating to his people responsibility and full commitment to the homeland. He successfully keeps transforming passion into experience, including the consequential expedition achievement of Operation Lighting Thunder in Garamba Forest in DR Congo where his Special Forces bravely flushed out Kony, as a result, subduing the presence of rebels and forcing them to run away to the Central Africa Republic. His Specialized Units are currently battling the Al Shabaab criminals in Somalia.

Even being in a privilege environment, he shows that it is not the place that he belongs, but, with his people in battlefield. His roots are just a part of who he’s and wants to service only his countrymen. His president & father Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is someone who inspires him deeply. Museveni launched a guerrilla on 6 February 1981 when his National Resistance Army eventually took control in January 1986.

Museveni started something significant for Uganda and has been standing for his people in power for 31 years. Whether the throne will be handed to his son or not, is just a question, but certainly, the son is fully capable to continue and turn a whole history of fights and conquers into a new chapter, something as much meaningful and greater as what his father did for Uganda. Maybe, it’s just a matter of time.

The president moved Muhoozi to the post of Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations on January 10, 2017 a reflex of not only his high qualification but the fact that the sole credit Kainerugaba got from his roots and the loyal devoted man & soldier who he has become over the years is his son did and keeps doing what very few were capable and willing to do. It’s undeniable that his actions and experience propped up any kind of assumption against his worth to each promotion earned along his military life.

Battels of the Ugandan Resistance: A Book by Muhoozi Kainerugaba

Muhoozi Kainerugaba has a well-written accolade to his name concerning to the Ugandan history. The depth of the subjects discussed and the wealth of content portrayed in this monumental work contributes to the understanding of the guerilla armed struggle that brought Yoweri Museveni to power in 1986.

A dramatic story that began in 1981 when the current President Yoweri Museveni, then Vice Chairman of the governing Military Commission, and his family faced a death threat in a blockade by soldiers at the UNLA manned roadblock in Kireka, was interrupted in a courageous act by one of the President Salim Saleh's guards who was responsible for escorting the convoy carrying Museveni, his wife, Janet Museveni (now the Minister of Education) and his young and only son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The actions of Salim Saleh led the UNLA soldiers to arrest and torture him. Museveni, in order to stop the act of cruelty, made an important statement that resulted in the immediate release of Salim Saleh (Commander of the rebel Army’s Mobile Brigade and now, Senior Presidential Advisor on the Military.)

This is one of several battle histories of Uganda that makes this book a veritable treasure trove of discovery and historical relationships. The boy who witnessed that moment and many others, marked his life forever and made him one of the greatest military academicians of today.

In addition, the history has shaped the tradition of Maneuver before the Battle of the Ugandan Resistance. A five-year long guerrilla war fought by the National Resistance Army (now UPDF) led by his father & the President Yoweri Museveni, which marked an important epoch in the Ugandan military history.

The book, besides attracting readers, also brings a moment of reflection in the past trajectories that addresses and investigates the technical aspects of a series of key battles of the resistance war.

It also shows a deep and a summation of the African continent which has always been the stage of constant conflicts, a consequence of colonialist intervention, especially in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries (XIX to XX).

One of the first aspects that this work denotes, is the powerful description of an analysis developed by the author, who argues for an implicit approach to maneuverist strategy & to the military operations. An action that intrigues deeply and exceeds expectations.

The President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, has appointed his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba as Sr. Presidential advisor for president security & other highly sensitive installation in the country. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, 42 years old, was appointed on Monday night. Previously, he was employed as a commander of Ugandan special forces.
